The National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) accredited examination program makes it easier for contractors to become licensed in multiple states.
It is not a national license. The purpose is to help unify licensing requirements across the country. Passing this allows contractors to waive the trade portion of a participating state's licensing exam.
All other application requirements, including taking each state's Business and Law tests, still apply.
Participating states include Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The NASCLA-Accredited Examination Program is for preparing to take the NASCLA Commercial Building Contractor Exam and is designed to assist licensed contractors who are in more than one state or jurisdiction thus reducing the need for multiple licenses. State Business and Law Prep
