Florida Workers' Compensation
This course is approved for Florida contractors to cover workers' compensation. The course covers workers’ compensation, and includes a brief history of workers’ compensation, as well as basic requirements, self insurance, exemptions, and enforcements.
Description
This 1-hour class will provide instruction on the laws and rules of the State of Florida that are relevant to construction and electrical contractors. Topics covered in this class include Part I and II of Chapter 489 of Title XXXII of the Florida Statutes and Division 61G4 and Division 61G6 of the Florida Administrative Code.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of the course, licensees will be able to:
• Operate in accordance with the laws and rules of the State of Florida
• Become certified or registered as a construction contractor
• Become certified or registered as an electrical or alarm system contractor
• Understand the consequences of violating the laws and rules of the State of Florida
• Operate as a burglar alarm system agent
• Reactivate an inactive license
