Fall is here, and winter will soon be upon us. It’s the perfect time to focus on getting a Michigan Builder or M&A Contractor License.

There are three steps to getting licensed as a Builder or M&A Contractor in Michigan

  1. Complete an approved 60 Hour Program
  2. Send a licenseĀ application, Certificates, and $195 to the state.
  3. Pass the state exam

If you or someone you know is thinking about getting a Michigan Builders License, NOW is the time to get started! There’s still time to sign up for the Grand Rapids 60-Hour classroom course to be held at the HBA of Greater Grand Rapids. The course is a 6-day Super Fast-track program that runs from Monday 9/17 thru Saturday 9/22 7:30 am until 5:00 pm.

This week-long classroom style course meets all of the State prelicensure requirements. You’ll walk away with all 8 state required certificates of completion. It also comes with an online exam prep study course curriculum (complete with practice exams!) that will prepare you to TAKE and PASS that state exam.  You’ll definitely want to spend some of those cool fall evenings in the comfort of your own home, preparing for the State exam.  A passing score of 70% is required in order to get a license.

More classroom courses are currently scheduled for fall and winter in Kalamazoo, Petoskey, Troy, and Novi.

If you can’t make it to a classroom location, there are convenient online courses can be purchased and taken anytime 24/7 from any computer or mobile device, even from your tablet or cell phone!  They’re designed to make it easy for busy professionals to take on-the-go.

Financial aid and scholarships are available for qualified individuals, as well as students and veterans.

This is your opportunity to “Build A Better Future”.
