2012 ICC Updates

Course Description

This three hour course provides an overview of the most recent editions of the 2012 International Residential Code, International Building Code and the International Energy Conservation Code. The International Residential Code® (IRC®) was created to serve as a complete, comprehensive code regulating the construction of single-family houses, two-family houses (duplexes) and buildings consisting of three or more townhouse units. More complex buildings like multiplex apartment and commercial buildings fall within the scope of the International Building Code® (IBC®) . The 2012 International Energy Conservation Code® (IECC®) requires more insulation, a tighter envelope, tighter ducts, better windows, and more efficient lighting than the 2009 IECC.
