As a building official it is important to have strong interpersonal and communication skills that will foster effective, cooperative working relationships with city staff members, property owners, the building and development community. They often inform, advise and resolve conflicts between the local jurisdiction, architects, developers, contractors and homeowners about code and ordinance compliance. This course addresses the process of inspections of complaints and violations.
This 1-hour course applies one hour towards Communication credit.
