COURSE DESCRIPTION

1. Controlling Hazardous Energy. (35 Minutes) This training program covers Lockout/Tagout procedures for the use of appropriate lockout or tagout devices designed to isolate or disable equipment in order to prevent unexpected start up or release of stored energy, causing injury to employees.

2. Fire Safety. (40 Minutes) This course highlights standards related to fire safety, including prevention, types of fires, extinguishers and best practices.

3. Hazard Communication. (60 Minutes) In order to ensure chemical safety in the workplace, information about the identities and hazards of the chemicals must be available and understandable to workers. This course will outline employee Right-to-Know information, the Global Harmonizing System, Safety Data Sheets, and labels.

4. Respiratory Protection. (50 Minutes) Respirators protect workers against insufficient oxygen environments, harmful dusts, fogs, smokes, mists, gases, vapors, and sprays. These hazards may cause cancer, lung impairment, diseases, or death. Compliance with the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard could avert hundreds of deaths and thousands of illnesses annually.
