Description

Course Description

All permit holders ( builders, remodelers, and homeowners) are required to comply with the Georgia Energy Code—officially known as the Georgia State Minimum Standard Energy Code.  It sets the baseline for the building envelope, systems, and equipment.  This course will describe the details regarding building features and equipment systems as they pertain to Georgia Energy Codes, and help contractors recognize how these codes can ultimately reduce and conserve energy consumption.

Learning objectives are provided to facilitate student understanding and progress.   Informal progress checks throughout the module help students review and measure their understanding of the material.  The chapter final assessment accurately reflects the information covered.  Students must answer 70% of the questions correctly in order to receive credit/certification for the course.
