Real testimony from Rich Dunnebacke -- Just received my Michigan Residential Builders License in the mail today and thought I should thank you for the excellent instruction. The course was spot on and I had no problems passing. Made the test look too easy. Again thanks to you and the staff at Builders License Training institute.

If you received your builders license after January 1, 2009, our Lead Paint Safety Course applies 8 hours toward your continued competency requirement, as well as fulfills the 8 hours necessary for lead paint renovator certification.  If you were licensed before 1/1/09, you only need the 3-hour continued competency course to renew your license in May of 2011.  You need the Lead Paint Safety course to work on pre-1978 homes.

Here's what comes with our 60-hour builders pre-license course:
  1. Course materials
  2. Profit from Building Green book
  3. Marketing PowerPak
  4. Online Study Course for the State exam
  5. Certificates of Completion
  6. Toll-free "Ask The Instructor" Hotline
Because some students already own the Michigan Residential Code book and Carpentry & Building Construction book, we've reduced the price of the course to $599 and taken these two books out.  This allows students who already have these books to purchase the course at a lesser price.  This also allows students the opportunity to buy the books used or borrow them for the course.

We do have these books available to purchase for $75 each, including sales tax and shipping.  This is the most competitive price available.
Our 60-hour course will prepare you to PASS both parts of the Michigan builders license test the first time you take it. Our free online study course compliments our 60-hour program with hundreds of sample questions that are as close to the real test as it gets.
We welcome all questions/comments. Please email us at info@licensetobuild.com

RECENT TESTIMONIES
Nancy Sonnema from Grand Rapids (8/16/10)
The Lead Paint Training was a great class and I learned a lot and I enjoyed it very much.  Scott and Josh were delightful and very knowledgable.
Thank you for your help

Scott Ranspach from
Ann Arbor (6/15/10)

Good afternoon Rob, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that I passed the state test today on the first try.  Thank you again for the excellent class and all of your help preparing us for the test.  Hope to see you again at a continuing ed class in the future.

Rob from Munising (6/11/10)
I took my class with Rodger Peck.  I went to Lansing for my test that started at 9:30 a.m. and was finished by noon.  I was able to have lunch with my brother and celebrate passing both tests in record time on my first time.  Thank you Builders License Training Institute.

Douglas Schultz, Grand Rapids (6/4/10)
I just wanted to say Thank you to Scott and your staff for the training I received in Feb of this year.  I just took and passed both sections of the Residential Builders exam this morning!  This was my first attempt at it too.  Please keep me informed of future training that is to be held in Grand Rapids.

 Joe Miklusicak, Muskegon(5/24/10)
I took and passed both parts of the test today.  Thanks for your time, and thank you Scott Corbat for the great instruction. I will recommend you folks to anyone.  Once again, a 7-digit thanks.
Tom Giacobassi, Brighton(5/15/10)
Thanks for a good seminar (Lead Paint RRP). You made it very interesting and informative. It was a worthwhile day
Jennifer Peter, Grand Rapids (5/1/10)
Thanks for all the help.  I passed with flying colors.
Matthew Baker, Allen Park (4/22/10)
I attended the Dearborn Hts. 60 course with Mark Swanson in February.  I just wanted to let you know that I passed both portions of the test on the first try.  The information given during the 60 hour course was more than needed, but I will be able to use that information throughout my career.  Mark was an excellent instructor.  He made sure that everyone understood the material and used real life situations to help explain the material.  I will be attending my continuing education through Builders License Training Institute in the future.

Darin Newbery, Davison (3/1/10)
The class was great. Mark is an awesome instructor who really cares about his students. He wasn't just teaching -- he made sure we all got it.
Kurt Henschell, Grand Rapids (2/23/10) - Scott is a phenomenal teacher. The class was very professional, yet a lot of fun. The online course is a must. I breezed through that test. It was a great class and I highly recommend it.
Craig Chamberlain, Holland (2/9/10) -- I just want to offer out a thanks on your instruction and provide some feedback on student results. I was in your mid-December class down in Holland. I just took and passed the test last Wednesday. Although I was somewhat disappointed on how easy the test seemed (based in how much I studied - a little overkill), if not for some of your insight the results could have been different.
Dale Kreiner, Flint  (2/4/10)
Chuck, I'm glad to hear that your operation went well. I passed my exams and have my license in hand. Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it.
Kenneth Lee Dollins, Jr, Flint
Everything went well with my test. I passed both parts, the first time. You put on a good class. If you ever need a reference just email me. Thank you. (2/1/10)
Dan Valley, Cadillac Heh Rob, I passed. It was everything we covered in class. Very similar online questions. The business part was somewhat easier than the trades for me. Thanks Again, Dan Valley (1/25/10) Thanks Again, Dan Valley (1/25/10) Thanks Again, Dan Valley (1/25/10) Thanks Again, Dan Valley (1/25/10)
Susan Vandenberg, Muskegon
I just want to say thank you for allowing me to use the online test prep. After completing the classes with Scott and then practicing with the online practice tests, I went to the Michigan Builders Licensing exams with confidence. I completed both tests in 90 minutes total with a passing score... first time. The test proctor said, "I have never seen anyone do so well in so little time." Thanks. (Dec. 1009)
