Construction Supervisor License

How many hours of continuing education do I need to complete?

Construction Supervisors License 12 Hours of Continuing Education every two years
Construction Supervisors License for One- and Two-Family Dwelling 10 Hours of Continuing Education every two years
Construction Supervisors  Specialty License 6 Hours of Continuing Education every two years

Beginning July 1, 2011, all Construction Supervisors License holders are required to complete the appropriate number of continuing education for each two-year renewal cycle (except for Building Officials who are certified and in good standing in accordance with 780 CMR 110).  Your licensing cycle begins on your birth date.   Your two-year renewal cycle begins on the first birth date after July 1, 2011.  For example, if you were born in April, your first renewal cycle requiring CE begins in April of 2012 and you will need to have the CE completed by your renewal date in 2014.  All renewals after July 1, 2013 need to have continuing education in order to renew.

 6-Hour Construction Supervisor Required Competency Course
 Focuses on five different topics:  Massachusetts 2009 Energy Code, Workplace Safety, Workers' Compensation, Energy Efficiency and Lead Paint Safety.  All Construction Supervisor License holders are required to complete this six hour course for each two-year
renewal cycle beginning July 1, 2011.  This course fulfills all five topic areas that are required for license renewal.

 4-Hour Basic Project Management Course
 This course focuses on three primary responsibilities of a project manager: managing project costs, managing project time and achieving the expected degree of quality.

What To Expect with our Courses

Online access is immediate and you can come and go as you wish.  You are not timed and if you leave the course, when you return you will be taken right back to the spot you left off. 

Each chapter in the course has a short multiple-choice quiz at the end.  Passing each quiz moves you onto the next chapter.  Our courses do not allow you to fail the quiz.  Once you achieve 70% on the quiz, you will move on to the next chapter.  It's that easy!  There is no need to spend time and money going to a classroom.

Upon completion of the course, you will be sent an email with your results and you will be able to print your Certificate of Completion for your files.
